Open Call: Psyche

News
Thursday, 08 April 2021

Science Gallery Bengaluru seeks interactive, participatory works for PSYCHE, an exhibition-season that explores the mind—and the complexities of thinking and feeling— in December 2021–January 2022.

The mind is inextricably implicated in our perception of the world and our experience of it. Our actions, informed by this perception, continue to shape the world.
The future of the mind could be stranger than fiction: weaponizing of emotions, extra-sensory perception, prediction of criminal behaviours or the wiping out of traumatic memories, Nothing, it seems, is impossible. Even machines need not be exempt from thinking or experiencing emotions in a manner similar to humans as we continue to replicate the human mind in silico.

Science Gallery Bengaluru is looking to work with individuals or groups from across career and disciplinary backgrounds who are critically exploring the psyche through emerging research. Your submission can be an artistic or a scientific inquiry, or, preferably, both.

Science Gallery Bengaluru will collaborate with The Wellbeing Project to curate elements of the Open Call and the PSYCHE exhibition which will be then shown at The Wellbeing Summit in Bilbao, Spain in 2022. The Wellbeing Project is addressing the issue of the wellbeing and mental health of everyone working on the frontlines of social change.

Deadline: 15.04.2021
